A great place for a picnic
Cedar Mountain recreation area is a great place to enjoy a picnic and some spectacular overlooks.
A short nature trail is great for family adventures before or after a picnic area. One important note: there is NO WATER available here. Numerous trail options take you from one overlook to another, making this destination particularly popular with photographers. A tip from the locals is to always be on the look out for antelope and jack rabbit, as well as the occasional horses and cattle!

Location
From Cleveland Main Street head south on Center Streets, the road turns to dirt. Travel south for 1.5 miles until you hit a junction, go left (east). Travel another 1.8 miles SE. At the next junction - turn right (south). Travel 5.3 miles to a 4-way junction and continue forward for another 18 miles. There will be lookouts and picnic areas on the right (south) for a few miles.
