electric lake

reservoir

Created to provide water to the Huntington Power Plant down in the Canyon, this lake offers boating, swimming, fishing and summer fun!

Fun fact, far beneath the waters of the lake lie the ghost town of Connellsville, which is an old coal-mining town. Already a ghost town before the dam, the buildings and coal-fired kilns now haunt the perpetual darkness of the lake bottom.
